CHAPTER ONE _ 12/5/2025
1 ) Letter from the past Tashi sat by the window of her house, gazing out at the natural beauty of Gangtok City. The view from that window was so breathtaking, it could make one forget everything else. She stared at the trees and the mountains beyond, but her mind was lost in deep thought. It had been twenty-five days since her parents died in a tragic car accident. Although she was strong enough to endure most hardships, this pain was beyond bearable. At eighteen, Tashi was still trying to come to terms with the truth. The last words of her father echoed in her memory: “I’ll be back soon. Might get a little late. Take your medicine—it’ll help you recover from the fever.” An introvert by nature, Tashi had no close contacts in her own city with whom she could share her feelings.
