The view from that window was so breathtaking, it could make one forget everything else. She stared at the trees and the mountains beyond, but her mind was lost in deep thought. It had been twenty-five days since her parents died in a tragic car accident. Although she was strong enough to endure most hardships, this pain was beyond bearable. At eighteen, Tashi was still trying to come to terms with the truth. The last words of her father echoed in her memory: “I’ll be back soon. Might get a little late. OLDEST LOST CONTINENT KUMARI KANDAM

  Dwarka, the city of Lord Krishna, was assumed to be a mythological city until the 1980s. Then, Indian researchers discovered a submerged city off the coast of Gujarat. The city was vast and featured impressive architecture. After this discovery, claims about the existence of the lost continent Kumari Kandam in ancient times gained traction in Tamil-speaking regions. The Tamil literary work Silappatikaram mentions a city called Kumari Kandam, said to have existed thousands of years ago. During the colonial era, thinkers referred to it as Lemuria. According to legends, it was located between Madagascar and Australia, south of the Indian subcontinent, and was eventually lost to the sea. It is also described as the pioneer of Indian or Dravidian civilization—predating all other known civilizations, including the Harappan Civilization.
